At a glance
- Passing criteria and funded-account activation are separate steps; providers may review trades before issuing the next account.
- Identity verification, contract acceptance and account ownership checks can be required before trading or requesting rewards.
- Funded accounts may have different payout, consistency, news, minimum-day or risk rules from the evaluation.
- Save the terms and rule version that apply when your funded account is issued.
The typical post-pass sequence
| Stage | What may happen | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Evaluation completion | The provider checks profit target, trading days and loss limits | Whether all trades are closed and the dashboard shows the phase as passed |
| 2. Compliance review | Trade behaviour, account ownership and rule compliance may be reviewed | Any flagged trade, prohibited strategy clause or request for explanation |
| 3. Identity / KYC | Identity, residence or payment details may be requested | Accepted documents, country eligibility and name matching |
| 4. Contract and activation | You accept funded-account terms and receive credentials | Whether there is an activation fee, deadline or account-type change |
| 5. Funded trading | Funded-stage limits and payout eligibility apply | Drawdown, consistency, news, minimum days and inactivity |
| 6. First reward | You submit a request after the product's waiting period and eligibility checks | Minimum amount, closed positions, invoice and payout method |
Evaluation rules may not match funded rules
Some firms apply consistency only during evaluation, others only to funded payouts, and some apply different percentages at both stages. FundedNext's prohibited-strategy policy also describes behaviour-based risk arrangements and different consequences on challenge and funded accounts. Re-read the funded account rules even if you studied the challenge rules carefully.
FTMO's reward withdrawal process requires open positions and pending orders to be closed before a request. It also requires identity approval for a first reward request on the Instant Account where identity has not yet been completed.
What to save before you start funded trading
- Final evaluation result and any compliance-review correspondence.
- Funded-account agreement, account identifier and rule version/date.
- Current payout schedule, profit split and eligibility requirements.
- Drawdown calculation and whether withdrawals affect the loss limit.
- Permitted strategies, EA/copy-trading policy, news restrictions and inactivity rules.
- Support contact and the formal dispute or appeal route.
If activation is delayed or a review is opened
Ask the provider to identify the exact account status, outstanding requirement and relevant contractual clause. If a trade is questioned, request the trade IDs, timestamps and calculation used. Keep the response in writing and avoid relying solely on informal social-media messages.
PropCoupons does not decide whether a provider's compliance decision is correct. This guide is a checklist for understanding the process, not legal advice or a guarantee that an account will be activated.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get my funded account immediately after passing?
Not always. A provider may review the evaluation, request identity documents, require contract acceptance or complete account activation first.
Can funded-account rules differ from challenge rules?
Yes. Payout eligibility, consistency, news trading and risk controls may change after funding. Review the funded-stage terms separately.
Can a firm refuse activation after I pass?
Provider terms may allow a compliance review and may specify disqualifying conduct. Ask for the relevant clause and evidence if activation is withheld.
