Which Prop Firms Actually Pay? 2026 Payout Reliability Report

Feb 18, 20269 min readPropCoupons Editorial

We analysed over 5,000 trader payout reports submitted through PropCoupons and third-party sources to produce the most comprehensive prop firm payout reliability ranking for 2026.

Methodology: We collected data from trader votes on PropCoupons, Trustpilot reviews mentioning payouts, Forex Peace Army reports, and Reddit posts across prop trading communities. Data covers January 2025 to February 2026.

Tier 1 - Highly Reliable (90%+ positive payout reports)

FTMO: 96% positive payout rate Average processing time: 24-48 hours Sample size: 1,847 reports Notable: Zero reports of funds being withheld without explanation

The5ers: 94% positive payout rate Average processing time: 7-9 days Sample size: 743 reports Notable: Instant funding accounts have slightly faster processing

FundedNext: 93% positive payout rate Average processing time: 3-5 days (bi-weekly schedule) Sample size: 612 reports Notable: 120% refund program works as advertised

Tier 2 - Reliable (80-90% positive payout reports)

Topstep: 89% positive payout rate Goat Funded Trader: 87% positive payout rate E8 Markets: 85% positive payout rate

Tier 3 - Mixed Reports (70-80% positive)

Several newer firms fall in this category. We recommend sticking to Tier 1 and Tier 2 firms until Tier 3 firms build more track record.

Red Flags to Watch: - Firms that changed payout rules after traders passed evaluations - Processing times consistently exceeding 30 days without communication - Support tickets going unanswered for more than 72 hours

Our recommendation: Stick to Tier 1 firms for your primary funded accounts. Use Tier 2 firms for additional accounts once you are confident in their systems. Avoid firms not on this list until they have 12+ months of verified payout history.
